Shag rugs shine best in low-traffic areas where comfort is the priority. The most popular placement is in the bedroom, either under the bed or on the sides, to give you a warm greeting every morning. They are also perfect for a cozy reading nook in the living room or inside a walk-in closet. Like all high-pile textiles, shag rugs can show signs of flattening in areas with heavy use. To keep your rug looking plush and lifted, we recommend rotating it every few months to ensure even wear. You can also use a rug rake or your fingers to fluff up the fibers after vacuuming.
